A quick run through what I use on my Android phones.
- Amazon Shopping - another astoundingly well-made app
- CalenGoo - Calendar and Tasks is an excellent alternative
- Dropsync: Autosync for Dropbox is essential for me, and the developer’s right on the ball.
- F-Droid allows me to install a few useful packages that
Google Play
doesn’t help with, such asTermux
- JBL Headphones - gets them setup…
- leboncoin, petites annonces works well right through the purchase
- OpenWeatherMap - excellent!
- Poweramp (Home) is my preferred music player
- Doctolib works beautifully
file management
- File Manager appears as

. I make some bookmarks of folders that contain images that I’d like to swipe through. - I use Total Commander - file manager many times a day.

Termux
- Termux is astoundingly useful. It gives me a

- Gboard - the Google Keyboard includes a clipboard
- Hacker’s Keyboard - I use occasionally
- Keepass2Android Offline - works perfectly with my password database (
JH.kdbx
) mostly created in a web browser configured with KeePassXC

WhatsApp Messenger is excellent, if you’re happy to be known inside-out by Meta Platforms…

- from a browser, Messages works well, but a screen-scrape of the conversation won’t show the senders…
- Messages by Google the default Android xMS app
